Painting Retreat

Have a treat on us

Painting Retreat

Take time to learn a new skill or develop a hobby at our painting workshop.  Check-in to a Woodland’s Wing bedroom, enjoy a three-course dinner  and stay overnight, followed by full Yorkshire breakfast.  Wake up refreshed and ready for a day of acrylic painting with local artist James Mcgairy, lunch and refreshments will be served throughout the day.

James Mcgairy has been working as an artist since 1991, focusing mainly on landscape, never tiring of the endless possibilities of paint. He began running painting workshops in January 2011, and thoroughly enjoys sharing his experience. Acrylic paint has proved to be a superb medium for workshops, having a range of applications, as well its forgiving nature.
